By dividing your image into 8 equal luminance bands of variable overlap, add in varying amounts G Beauty style enhancement. By increasing the effect in a specific band, you can control whether it's the dark (bands 1 -3), mid tones (bands 4-6) or highlights (bands 7 & 8) that have the effect. You can make the various bands have very little overlap in the range of tones they effect by reducing "Band Overlap" or increase it so that the bands are much wider. Think of it like a graphic equalizer.
